Dr. Leyla Acaroglu incarne le pouvoir de l’innovation en faveur de la lutte contre les changements environnementaux et sociaux. Designer australienne basée à New York, experte en sciences sociales, elle est reconnue internationalement comme pionnière pour son approche du Disruptive Design (méthodologies de conception innovantes). Leyla a fondé deux agences de design, Disrupt Design à New York et Eco Innovators à Melbourne, ainsi que la UnSchool, un laboratoire expérimental de recherche qui étudie la façon dont le savoir est acquis et transmis
Ses œuvres telles que Design Play Cards, Game Changer Game, Secret Life of Things, Designercise et AIGA Gender Equity Toolkit sont à l’avant-garde de la conception d’expériences. Elle a rédigé plusieurs manuels destinés aux accélérateurs du changement et continue de penser à de nouvelles façons pour résoudre des problèmes sociaux complexes grâce à la conception d’interventions sur-mesure.
Elle est nommée Champion of the Earth par l’ONU Environnement en 2016 et sa conférence TED en 2013 sur le développement durable a généré plus d’un million de vues.
